WrapMasters® / Fleet-First Branding™
Fleet-First Branding: commercial vehicle wraps that start with the brand
Most wrap shops sell vinyl. You bring a truck, they quote a price, a designer makes something look good on a screen, and it gets installed. The truck looks new. Whether it wins work is not their problem. Fleet-First Branding™ starts where a brand is hardest to read, the vehicle in motion, then builds outward to the website, the reviews, and the marketing. It runs in five stages: Discover, Distinguish, Stress-Test, Deploy, and Reinforce.
It was built for the trades and only the trades. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, pest control, restoration, and the fleet-based service businesses next to them. It is not a general-purpose branding framework that happens to include vehicles, and we do not sell it as one.
The frame under it is Kent Billingsley's Entrepreneur to Millionaire system for building a company on purpose. Fleet-First Branding is that system applied to the service trades, with the vehicle as the starting point and our own layer on top.
Fleet-First Branding is not a package or an add-on, and it is not a line item on a quote. It is how WrapMasters® works, from the first photo you send us to the marketing department some of our clients never leave. What you buy are the stages below.
Fleet-First Branding™ by WrapMasters®Every wrap starts with the brand, so every truck earns its keep.

How the stages work
Free Wrap Audit. Upload a side or rear photo of your vehicle and get your 45 MPH Test score in minutes. Five elements decide whether a truck works at traffic speed: company name, service category, brand promise, contact path, and service area. The score tells you where you stand and where to start. No cost, no commitment.
BrandBlueprint. Included with every wrap we produce, and listed on every quote, because it is the work that makes the wrap worth buying. Positioning, message hierarchy, and a vehicle design built to pass the 45 MPH Test. It is also the qualifier for Fleet-First Marketing.
Brand System. The upgrade that extends the BrandBlueprint into a complete brand guidelines kit: logo system, colors, typography, voice, and fleet standards, written down so every vehicle, vendor, and hire carries the same brand.
Market Launch. The upgrade for companies whose brand is changing in public: a rename, a merger, an ownership transition, a new market. A managed transition, not a bigger design file.
Wrap Production. Design, printing on 3M premium vinyl, and installation, all in-house at our climate-controlled Denton facility. Priced separately and quoted plainly, so you always know what the vinyl costs and what the brand work is worth. Every figure is on the pricing page.
Fleet-First Marketing. For companies that want the brand on the truck working everywhere else: reviews, website, social, local visibility. A turnkey marketing department on a monthly retainer, available to BrandBlueprint clients only.
What about wrap-only work?
We take it, by exception. If your brand already works and you need it produced and installed at the highest standard in Denton County, we will do exactly that, with the same 3M materials and the same installers as every other job. What wrap-only work does not include is the brand system behind it or access to Fleet-First Marketing. The door back in is always open: a standalone BrandBlueprint makes any wrap-only client a Fleet-First client.
Why we work this way
WrapMasters has been building brands since 2001. The wrap division opened in 2020, and the pattern has never changed: the trucks that generate calls are not the prettiest ones, they are the ones a homeowner can read, remember, and trust in the three seconds they get at 45 miles per hour. Brand first, vinyl second is not a slogan. It is the order of operations.
The working method behind these offers runs in five stages: Discover, Distinguish, Stress-Test, Deploy, and Reinforce. The offers above are how that method is packaged and priced. The method itself is documented on our process page, and the inspection standard it runs on is published in full as the 45 MPH Test.
Built for the trades, not adapted to them
Fleet-First Branding was developed inside a wrap shop that produces the vehicles, not inside an agency that advises about them. That is the whole difference, and it is not a small one.
A capable marketing firm can build you a brand book. Positioning, a logo system, colors, typography, a voice guide. That work is real and some firms do it very well. What a brand book does not contain is the production knowledge the trades actually run on: that 8 inches is the floor for a company name on a full-size cargo van, that a capability list fails as a tagline because it commits to nothing, that a design approved on a monitor routinely collapses at 100 feet, that the rear panel earns the longest dwell time of any surface and is the one most often given away to a window graphic, and that a layout which passes on a van can fall apart on a pickup, a box truck, and a trailer in the same fleet.
Those rules did not come from research. They came from printing the vinyl, installing it, and then watching the trucks work or fail to work in Denton County traffic. A firm without a production floor has no way to generate them, and no way to inspect against them once the file is out the door.
The trade-specific constraints go further than the vehicle. Fleets turn over and new trucks have to match trucks wrapped four years ago. Growing companies use more than one installer across more than one market, and the brand has to survive vendors who have never spoken to each other. Technicians park in customer driveways, which makes the vehicle a trust signal at the moment of service, not just an impression on the road. And the buying journey usually starts with a truck and ends in Google reviews, so the truck and the search results have to read as the same company.
That is what Fleet-First Branding is calibrated to. It is also why we do not present it as portable. A framework built for every industry is a framework built for none of them, and we would rather be the obvious answer for the trades than a general option for everyone.
Common questions
- What is Fleet-First Branding?
- Fleet-First Branding is the WrapMasters methodology for building service trade brands starting from the vehicle rather than the screen. It treats the wrapped truck as the hardest test a brand faces, three seconds at traffic speed, and designs to pass that test first, then extends the same identity to the website, Google listing, reviews, and marketing. It runs in five stages: Discover, Distinguish, Stress-Test, Deploy, and Reinforce. The inspection standard it runs on is the 45 MPH Test, published in full.
- Is Fleet-First Branding something I can buy?
- Not directly. Fleet-First Branding is the method. What you buy are the stages it is packaged into: a free Wrap Audit to find out where you stand, a BrandBlueprint that comes with every wrap we produce, optional Brand System and Market Launch upgrades, wrap production priced separately, and Fleet-First Marketing on a monthly retainer for clients who want the brand working everywhere else.
- Who is Fleet-First Branding built for?
- Service trades and fleet-based service businesses: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, pest control, garage door, restoration, painting, power washing, landscaping, pools, and construction. It was built for those trades specifically, and every rule in it is calibrated to how they win work. We do not position it as a general-purpose branding framework, and we do not apply it to industries it was not built for.
- Could a marketing agency do this instead?
- A good agency can build you a brand book, and some do it very well. What they typically do not have is a production floor. The rules inside Fleet-First Branding came from printing the vinyl, installing it, and watching the trucks perform: minimum letter heights on a full-size van, why a capability list fails as a tagline, how a layout that passes on a cargo van falls apart on a pickup and a trailer, how a fleet stays consistent across four years of new vehicles and more than one installer. That knowledge is generated by doing the work, not by advising on it. It is also why our clients are not coordinating a designer, a printer, an installer, and a marketer who have never spoken to each other.
- How is this different from a normal vehicle wrap?
- A normal wrap starts with a quote and a design file. Fleet-First Branding starts with what the truck has to communicate and to whom, then designs the vehicle to carry it. The practical difference shows up in what gets rejected: layouts that look good at arm's length but fail at 100 feet, taglines that commit to nothing, and designs that work on a cargo van but fall apart on a pickup. Every wrap we produce is inspected against the 45 MPH Test before it goes to print.
- What are the five stages?
- Discover establishes what the business actually sells and to whom. Distinguish builds the positioning and identity that separate it from the four competitors on the same street. Stress-Test runs the design against the 45 MPH Test before anything is printed. Deploy puts it on the vehicles, the website, and the listings. Reinforce keeps it consistent as the fleet grows and vendors change.
- Do I have to commit to the whole thing?
- No. The entry point is a free Wrap Audit with no cost and no commitment. From there, the BrandBlueprint is included with every wrap we produce and listed on every quote. The upgrades and the monthly program are optional and separately priced. Wrap-only work is available by exception, and a standalone BrandBlueprint brings a wrap-only client back in at any time.
- What does it cost?
- The Wrap Audit is free. The BrandBlueprint is $3,750 and is included on every wrap we design. The Brand System upgrade runs about $10,000. Market Launch is scoped by engagement. Wrap production is priced separately at $15 to $20 per square foot with printing and installation included. Fleet-First Marketing is a monthly retainer available to BrandBlueprint clients only. Full detail is on the pricing page.
- Does Fleet-First Branding only apply to companies with a fleet?
- No. The method is the same for one truck as for twenty. “Fleet-first” describes the order of operations, designing for the vehicle in motion before anything else, not a minimum vehicle count. Single-vehicle operators get the same BrandBlueprint and the same 45 MPH Test inspection, and the standards are written so the brand holds when the second and third trucks arrive.
